Riverstill Property Media is a trading name of Riverstill Ltd. We decide how the details below are used. Questions: hello@riverstill.co.uk. Our company details are on the Legal page. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, number ZC290112.
What we hold
Enquiries: what you put in the form (name, agency or company, email, phone if given, where the property is, timing and anything else you add) or in an email.
Work: if we work together, contact and invoicing details for you or your business.
Homeowners: if an agent books us to photograph a home, the agent gives us the owner’s or tenant’s name, the address and how to arrange access.
Visits: counts of the pages viewed, which do not identify you.
Why, and our legal reasons
To reply to enquiries and to arrange, carry out and invoice work. Our reason: steps you asked us to take before a contract, or the contract itself.
To keep business and accounting records. Our reason: the law requires them, and our legitimate interest in keeping records of our work.
To use homeowners’ details for a shoot an agent has booked. Our reason: our legitimate interest in carrying out that shoot.
To count visits so we can improve the site. Our reason: our legitimate interest in running a website that works.
We have no mailing list. We do not sell details or use them for advertising.
Who else handles it
Only providers that help us run the business, on our instructions: our email provider, our website host, the service that delivers the enquiry form, a visit-counting service run by our website host, and the services we use to deliver work and keep accounts. Also our accountant, where needed. Anyone else only if the law requires it.
Some of these providers handle details outside the UK. Where they do, approved contract terms protect your details to UK standards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months after our last reply.
Clients and homeowners: with our job records, for six years after the job, as accounting rules require.
Visit counts: detailed counts for seven days, then totals only.
The form delivery service may keep a technical copy for a limited time under its own terms.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your details, or ask us to correct, delete or limit them, or to send them to you in a portable form.
You can object to any use based on our legitimate interest, including visit counts.
Email us and we will reply within one month.
You do not have to give us your details, but we cannot reply without a way to contact you.
We do not make automated decisions about you.
If you have a concern about how we use your details, email us and we will acknowledge it within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and your device
This site sets no cookies. It counts visits without cookies. To switch counting off, use “Don’t count my visits” at the foot of any page. The site keeps choices you make, such as pausing films or switching off counting, on your own device. While you fill in the request form, what you type is kept in that browser tab only, so a reload doesn’t lose it. It is cleared when you send it, and is gone once the tab is closed.
